LCSD Introduces Parent University

Tuesday, May 22, 2018

Graphic of a computer. The Liverpool Central School District is a large and dynamic school district, and it can be difficult for parents to learn about the academic programming, extracurricular activities and school-related issues that impact their children.

For this reason, the district is introducing Parent University, a series of free, short classes and workshops. Parent University is designed to inform parents and the community at large about issues that directly impact children attending Liverpool Central School District schools.

The first Parent University session will be presented on Thursday, June 7, from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Liverpool Middle Cafeteria. The topic will be “Internet Safety – Keeping Children Safe” and the session will feature The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The session is free.

“As we are about to enter summer vacation when children will enjoy swimming, camping, and more time on their electronic devices, we are proud to invite members of the LCSD community to attend our first Parent University,” said Executive Director of K-8 Education Richard Chapman.
