New York State Testing Information

The New York State Education Department continues to transition to computer-based testing (CBT) as part of its commitment to both meeting the needs of 21st century learners and improving test delivery, test integrity, scoring validity, and turn-around time on testing results. For the 2017-18 school year, LCSD administered these tests in the CBT format. Both students and teachers found this format an adequate way to test students’ knowledge of the subjects tested.

This spring, the Liverpool Central School District will again administer the New York State Grades 3-8 English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics operational tests via computer. Students will use district provided Chromebooks for both tests. Grade 4 and 8 Science Performance and Written Tests will remain as paper-based tests.

  • Day 1: Tuesday, April 2, 2019
  • Day 2: Wednesday, April 3, 2019
